A Bloom Hunt garden bed mid-game: a row of rose bushes and a giant pumpkin in bloom, two radishes found, sprouts where a sunflower is being uncovered, and blue puddles on missed squares.
Made for iPhone Duo

Two players, one iPhone Duo

Bloom Hunt's two-player mode is made for iPhone Duo. Open it up, lay it on the table between you, and each player gets a half of the screen to themselves.

Bloom Hunt on iPhone Duo opened like a book: Player 1's dimmed garden on the left half and Player 2's garden with Show my garden and Pass to Player 2 buttons on the right half. Bloom Hunt on iPhone Duo folded like a laptop: Player 1's dimmed garden on the top half and Player 2's garden on the bottom half.

Fold it on the table

Stand one half of iPhone Duo up and lay the other flat between you, like a little laptop. Each player gets a half of their own, so there's no passing the phone back and forth.

Your half stays private

Your half shows the garden you're hunting and what you've found. Your own plants stay hidden from across the table unless you choose to show them.

Any iPhone works too

The board turns to face whoever's turn it is, and a cover screen hides each garden between turns.

How it plays

A hidden-garden guessing game

Find their garden before they find yours.

1. Plant

Hide your garden

Drag rose bushes, pumpkins, sunflowers, carrots and radishes into your bed. Turn them any way you like, or let the dice plant for you.

2. Water

Take turns watering

Water one square of the other garden each turn. A puddle means nothing's there. A little green sprout means you've found something.

3. Bloom

Make it bloom

Water every square of a plant and it blooms. Bloom the whole garden before they bloom yours to win.

Help with Bloom Hunt

How do I play?

Plant your garden by dragging each plant onto your bed, then take turns watering one square of the other garden. A puddle means a miss and a sprout means a hit. When every square of a plant is watered it blooms. The first player to make every plant in the other garden bloom wins.

Do I need an iPhone Duo?

No. On iPhone Duo each player gets their own half of the screen, but Bloom Hunt plays on any iPhone. On other iPhones, two players pass the phone and a cover screen hides each garden between turns.

How do two people play on one phone?

Start a two-player game and pass the phone between turns. A cover screen hides each garden, and your own plants stay hidden unless you choose to show them. You can change how turns are passed in Options. On iPhone Duo you don't need to pass it, because each player has their own half.

When does the daily garden change?

A new daily garden starts at midnight in your local time. You get one attempt each day, and your streak counts the days you win in a row.

What are rose thorns?

An optional rule in Options. When it's on, the first time you find the rose bush its thorns prick you and you miss your next turn.

Where is my progress saved?

Your levels, stars, daily streak and settings are saved on your device only. If you delete the app, they are deleted too. Progress doesn't move between devices.
